2011 SOT Plenary Lecture: Toxic Trace Elements and the Chesapeake Bay

To commemorate SOT’s 50th Anniversary, the Smithsonian Institution and SOT are holding an all-day seminar for the public featuring the latest research in the science of toxicology, and information about the positive and adverse effects that chemical, biological, and physical substances can have on people, animals, and the environment. We are surrounded by chemicals that may be beneficial, harmful, or neither depending on the dose.

Researchers offer the latest information about the effects of chemical, physical, and biological substances on the ecosystem.
